All My Single Ladies... That's pretty much where everything stands right now. I've been single for almost 2 years now and I must say that it's getting on my nerves. I really want to meet someone who is the yin to my yang and who complements me- not completes me. I'm whole and I have been for almost 2 years now. OKay.. So my mother asks me when she thinks I'll meet someone. I mean I've done the online thing- Facebook, Match, eHarmony, Fling (Adult Personals), Craigslist and the final straw was Tagged. Okay I haven't met anyone face to face in 2 years and I'm kinda scared to get out there. I guess my shyness gets in the way and I seem like I'm bluffing, when in actuality, people online just don't rock my world or tickle my fancy like they used to. I guess I need to get out there and actually meet someone.. I just don't know where to start!!
Facebook- Same ol same ol.. One mutual friend and someone thinks they're your life partner.. NO!! We have one friend in common from middle school and you get extra pressed... Or you want to meet me, and you want to come to my house on the bus!!! #AreYouSerious!! I mean, really, coming to my house smelling like public transportation is not a good look or smell!!. A good friend of mine told me that I'm being to harsh on the men in Baltimore and that a car does not make a man... True.. I agree, but at the same time, it took me a while to finally drive and when I did it was the best, most independent feeling ever!! I'm not knocking anyone's hustle.. But at the same time, I drive 50 miles to work, and then I'm driving around to see clients in various parts of Montgomery County and then 50 miles home!! If I were to go on a date, I want to be the passenger, not the driver... And I damn sure don't want to share a bus pass!!! #NoBueno!!
Match- No matches! I refuse to pay to use a personals website!! Even when they offer a free trial, you still end up paying in the end!! Personals websites should be free!!
E-Harmony- The same as Match.. I'm not going to pay!!
Fling- Most of the people on there want sex!! First and foremost, I am not cruising the internet looking for penis!! No siree Bob. Sex isn't even all that important to me-- Call me crazy I know. I am not all pressed over getting laid.. I haven't had sex since 2009 and I'm good with it!! #TeamCelibacy #TeamAbstinence !!
Craigslist- Well watching The Craigslist Killer on Lifetime made me decide to just give it up!! I can't deal with meeting a handsome serial killer.. No way!!
Tagged- Tagged has some interesting people on there, so I am giving it a try. This is going to be the last online site that I resort to meeting someone from. Let's hope I meet someone of value!!
